Whitby is a five minute car drive away, or you can walk across country within 25 minutes. There's so much to see and do! Whitby is the home of Captain Cook, with an excellent museum to see. The ancient Abbey stairs tumble down into Church Street where the many unique shops will fascinate you and leave you wanting more.

Just down the coast lies Robin Hood's Bay, where images of smugglers abound within it's many alley ways, nooks and crannies. It's a steep incline down to the beach so you'll need to be fit!

The Moors have many footpaths cris-crossing the heather, giving spectacular views of the North Yorkshire Moors railway as it makes its way through the Heartbeat village of Goathland down to Pickering.
